the one-ache sit
A cousin of last Sunday's one-face sit. That one held a friend. This one holds someone having a difficult stretch — the colleague, the cousin whose calls have gone quiet, the vegetable seller who looked worn thin this morning.
Bring the face to mind and hold it lightly, the way you would hold something warm.
Breathe in through the nose for a count of four. Rest a moment at the top. Out for a slow count of six — and on the out-breath, one inward phrase: may it be lighter. Settle, then again.
Three rounds, one face, three quiet wishes.
Nothing needs doing afterwards. If the sit leaves behind a small urge to make one phone call, you may obey it or keep it for tomorrow. Either way, you can stop here.
