tonight's question — what did you have to wait for today
At the table, when the first hunger has settled, ask it plainly — what did you have to wait for today?
Everyone answers. You too. Yours might be the lift, the OTP, the reply that never came.
Two small rules. Do not teach — "waiting is good for you" ends the conversation. And do not fix — if the answer is "the bathroom, because bhaiya takes forever," smile and pass the sabzi. The question is not fishing for a lesson. It is teaching everyone at the table that waiting is a thing that happens to all of us, and can be said out loud.
That is all. Let the answers be small.
