Children surprise themselves here. Taught Nani to video-call. Taught a classmate the trick for the nine times table. Taught the little one to whistle, regrettably. Let each answer stand at full size; teaching a person to whistle is teaching.

Adults forget they teach all day, mostly without words. Take your turn and be specific. And if someone at the table cannot find an answer, let the others find it for them — being told what you have taught is one of the better feelings a dinner can produce.
