tonight's question — when do you feel most looked after
A Saturday question, softer than the week's — when do you feel most looked after?
The answers arrive from unexpected directions. Some children say food. Some say when you wait at the gate. Many, disarmingly, say when I am ill — receive that one without alarm; it only means care becomes fully visible to them when the fever makes everything else stop.
Parents answer too, and honestly. Saying out loud when you feel looked after teaches the children two things at once: that adults also need tending, and where their own small tending could go.
One rule: every answer is a fact, not a review. Nobody defends, nobody promises to improve. The dal keeps moving, and the facts are allowed to just sit there, warm.
